Travis Mock is Of Counsel to Amineddoleh & Associates LLC. Travis is a civil litigator, transactional attorney, and counselor to artists, investors, entrepreneurs, and executives. His work spans a wide range of industries, including art and intellectual property, technology, finance, employment, insurance, and non-profit organizations. Travis has experience in state and federal courts, mediation, and arbitration. A veteran of global law firms as well as litigation boutiques, Travis prides himself on identifying the right-sized legal solutions that advance clients’ business and personal goals.
A leader in the legal community, Travis is a member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Bar Council and has served as Chair of the Council’s First Decade Committee and the New York City Bar Association’s National Moot Court Competition Committee.
Travis is a member of the Board of Directors of Music on the Inside (MOTI), a non-profit connecting youth and adults impacted by incarceration with professional musicians as teachers and mentors to bring hope and healing through the transformative power of music.
In his spare time, Travis plays classical and jazz guitar and road cycles.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Won $5.3 million summary judgment for intellectual property licensing agent and consultant against textile manufacturer for failure to pay earned commissions (N.Y. Supreme Court, N.Y. County, Commercial Division). Successfully defended that judgment on appeal (N.Y. Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Department).
Assess and register trademarks for national beauty brand and music publishing company.
Advise New York art gallery on business transactions and employment agreements.
Represented former board member of health care startup in dispute with private equity company over personal liability for consulting fee (N.Y. Supreme Ct., N.Y. County, Commercial Division).
Negotiated favorable exit agreement for senior artistic director of international marketing firm.
Defended global social media platform in various Digital Millennium Copyright Act and platform enforcement actions.
Advised multi-layer capital management company in contentious withdrawal of co-founder.
Successfully represented national broker-dealer in seven-year multi-jurisdiction FINRA investigation and private civil suit related to misconduct of faithless employee.
Assisted New York museum in negotiating resolution of issues related to payment of adverse judgment.
Served as pro bono outside general counsel to large regional non-profit organization. Negotiated dozens of commercial leases, services contracts, and construction agreements. Advised on crisis response. Negotiated out-of-court resolution of dispute with national building services corporation over corporation’s breaches of contract. Secured client’s early exit from long-term agreement and recovery of over $20,000 in payments and fees for services deficiently rendered.
Negotiated favorable settlement of claims by brother of deceased artist in will contest concerning disposition of artist’s works (N.Y. Surrogate’s Ct., Kings County).
