We are pleased to share our founder’s most recent scholarly publication, “Kings, Treasures, and Looting: The Evolution of Sovereign Immunity and the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act,” published in the Columbia Journal of Law & the Arts. The paper examines the application of the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act in fine art and antiquities case, including examinations of the Guelph Treasure case, the Woman in Gold litigation, and her work representing Italy and Greece in the US. The paper is dedicated to her late friend Oscar White Muscarella, an inspiring person who battled to protect cultural heritage.
