During tenure at CNN, Shelby held various pivotal roles, showcasing her versatility and expertise. As a CNN Writer/Producer, she crafted both domestic and international segments for weekend anchors, coordinating with a diverse team of media professionals. Her role as a CNNPolitics Digital Producer involved researching and writing stories for the “Meanwhile in America” newsletter, offering an international perspective on U.S. political stories. Her journalistic acumen was further exemplified in her positions as International Desk News Editor and CNN Digital Writer. Notably, several of her stories became a top-rated piece on CNN Digital, subsequently influencing segments for CNN Prime Time shows.

Her linguistic prowess in English, Arabic, and French has been a significant asset throughout her career. This multilingual proficiency has enabled her to navigate complex international stories and contribute meaningfully to CNN’s global coverage.

Shelby received her law school degree at Tulane University Law School where she worked as a Student Attorney in the school’s First Amendment Clinic. There, she served as lead attorney on multiple cases, focusing on artistic expression, social media technology, and journalism. Currently, Shelby is pursuing an M.A. in Art Business at Sotheby’s Institute of Art.

Ms. Rose’s achievements extend beyond the realms of media and law. Her volunteer work with organizations such as The Ella Project and the International Rescue Committee showcases her dedication to community service and cross-cultural understanding. Her experience teaching English in the West Bank further exemplifies her global perspective and commitment to education.

Throughout her career, Ms. Rose has garnered several prestigious accolades, including recognition in the Royal Television Society’s Television Journalism Awards for Breaking News. Her contributions to “Erin Burnett OutFront” helped the program achieve top ratings across all cable news networks.
