2018 has been a busy and great year for Amineddoleh & Associates. We welcomed Claudia Quinones to our team, and she joined us just in time to work on some very exciting legal matters. Some of the highlights of our year include the following:
- Representing the Greek Ministry of Culture in a lawsuit filed by Sotheby’s and one of its consignors. Artsy named the case one of the most important art law litigations of 2018.
-
Working with a client to repatriate valuable cultural property that was looted from a German museum during World War II.
-
Assisting art collectors gain monetary value from their art collections by drafting art-backed credit agreements for loans exceeding $100 million.
- Representing Dennis Bush, a talented magician and the creator of “Magic in the Music.” Mr. Bush is credited with the concept for Princess Cruise Line’s “Magic To Do” (with music by famed Broadway composer Stephan Schwartz).
- Representing numerous artists and their foundations, drafting agreements for exhibition of their works in museums, advising on intellectual property and moral rights issues, commissions, and sales.
- Working with artists to sell their works and installations to museums, including the Smithsonian.
- Advising gallery owners to successfully host exhibitions.
We wish our clients, colleagues, and friends a great holiday season and a happy, healthy, and successful new year!
